Arlington is a large Virginia county directly southeast of Washington, D.C., on the opposite bank of the Potomac River. Arlington is bisected by I-66 and five bridges that span the Potomac, making it easily accessible from any of the county’s diverse neighborhoods. Arlington’s homes for sale are characterized by quiet residential neighborhoods with large, single-family homes and many parks, while the south is more popular with young urban professionals with metro stations and a majority of its commercial development.

Arlington is home to the Pentagon and numerous iconic landmarks, including Arlington National Cemetery and the Marine Corps War Memorial, depicting the raising of the American flag at Iwo Jima. Arlington also enjoys an abundance of green space. 88-acre Theodore Roosevelt Island has miles of trails and a 17-foot-tall bronze statue of the former President. Mount Vernon Trail, Potomac Overlook Park, Roaches Run, and Lady Bird Johnson Park all combine resplendent natural scenery with spectacular views across the Potomac.
